Start with the right windows
Building new in Central Florida? The window decision happens early — it affects framing, flashing, stucco, and trim. Getting impact windows spec'd from the plans (instead of value-engineered later) means the openings are framed for the right products, the nailing fins integrate with the weather barrier properly, and the final inspection goes smoothly. It's cheaper and better than retrofitting regrets.
Working with your builder
We coordinate directly with builders and GCs: reviewing plans, confirming opening schedules, verifying DP ratings against the project's wind requirements, and delivering on the construction timeline. If you're an owner-builder managing your own project, we fill the window-specialist role — spec review, product selection, and installation timed to your framing and dry-in schedule.
Additions and major remodels
Adding a master suite, enclosing a patio, or popping the top? New openings in new walls get new-construction windows with full nailing-fin installation — the most watertight method. We match the new windows to your existing ones in style and color so the addition looks original, not added-on.
Why not just use the builder's default windows
Production builders often spec the minimum code-compliant window to hit a price point. Minimum code is legal — but it's not the same as good. Upgrading the window package during construction costs far less than replacing windows later, and you get better glass, better efficiency, and better noise control from day one. Ask us to review your builder's window spec before you sign off on it.
